PROJECT: STAFFMEDICAL - Web App UI/UX Study

    PROBLEM

    Design a effective mobile interface for users to search, apply and post jobs. Current system for posting and updating new job leads was not mobile friendly.

    • Revise corporate style guide to reflect mobile environment

    EXECUTION

    • Planning
    • Design web and mobile icons inline with corporate style guide
    • Analysis of old application data to eliminate redundancies
    • Integration of user login, and streamlined checkout procedures based on visitor flow analysis.

    RESULTS

    Improved conversion rate over 10% and decreased bounce rate over 20% in initial usability studies.

PROJECT: National Center for Urban School Transformation at SDSU - Video Production and Community Outreach Project Development

This is one of the first videos  I produced for NCUST/SDSU. In addition to filming the content I conducted the interviews, edited the footage, and added some basic titles.



Interview with Dr. Joseph Johnson - NCUST Program Director

  • PROBLEM

    Need to add engaging and informative content to web and social media channels. To better facilitate sharing of knowledge on instruction and classroom management from sucessful educators and students.

    • Develop organization's Style Guide to reflect video and multimedia use of brand elements, and updated identity materials

    Over 20 videos shot and produced in six months, resulting in thousands of instances of engagement, double attendance (YoY) at the annual symposium, and additional benefits for the organization's brand image.
  • RESULTS

    • Increased website traffic over 30% within the first month of launch
    • Created Youtube and social media presence
    • Shared learnings from teachers and students from America's best urban schools with the world.

PROJECT: OCIO DESIGN GROUP

Website redesign featuring rich, searchable media in a responsive format.

  • PROBLEM

    Content is structured in static layout, difficult to read on mobile devices, difficult to search.
  • RESEARCH

    • Meetings with WordPress custom template developer
    • Define hierarchy of information based on client needs and industry expectations

    • Analysis of blueprints, sketches, and other relevant images

    • Intial website meetings
    • Proposed mobile redesign - presented data about rise in mobile usage to support need for transition

    • Phase 1 of redesign complete - creation of the individual project pages.
    • Phase 2 underway, mobile-first responsive redesign in testing phase.

    Redesigned template ready for launch after extensive preliminary tests yielded positive feedback via a sample of diverse users on varied devices.
